Well, nothing great in this recipe except that it can help you to use all the ripe (very often over-ripe)bananas that you end up collecting after a religious ceremony at home, especially when you do not like the idea of having to eat banana one after the other. You would feel guilty in case you have to chuck out all these goodies (bananas & other fruits)
So, here is my simple recipe. You can have this with either chapati or puri
Ingredients:
Ripe Bananas(even over-ripe ones would do)
1/2 cup curds (whipped)
salt as per taste
For seasoning:
one tspoon oil (or pure ghee)
a pinch of hing
Jeera (Cummin seeds)
Curry leaves
a few green chillies (as per your taste - usually, I take one chilli per banana)
Method : Mash all the bananas and add curds and salt.
Heat oil and add jeera, hing (aesofoetida), curry leaves and chopped green chillies.Allow this to cool down and then add to the mashed bananas.
This dish has a unique hot and sweet taste.
