This hard disk supports with both usb 3.0 and usb 2.0. Data transfer speed of hard disk is very slow which could be better .It comes with simple save backup software .Cost of the hard disk is high in terms of its performance .I bought this hard disk few months back I was very dis appointed with its performance transfer speed was too slow .It would be better option for me if I had opted some other company instead of hp .So I would say that performance of hard disk is very slow which could have been better
