Review HP656C
Continuing on its highly successful 600 series , the 656C is a redesigned printer meant for the budget conscious buyer. Not only is the 656C shaped and colored differently from the other printers in the range it has a foldable paper tray to save desk space (Finally!).
What can you print on it? Well basically anything. From visiting cards to T-shirts and everything in between. It comes with a color and black cartridge. An optional Photo cartridge can be installed for photo quality printouts.
The printer was found to be quite noisy during the tests. Another drawback (as with most of the printers in this series) is the fact that there is no way to know the ink level. (Unless of course you remove and examine the cartridge manually)
The price of the cartridge is yet another drawback (this a general complaint for all printers irrespective of the manufacturer). This can be largely attributed to the fact that in HP printers the print heads are built right onto the cartridge itself.
The I/O interface is USB(2.0)

Setup was extremely easy. Just plug in the usb cable and the system instantly recognizes the printer. Just pop in the CD when the system asks for the divers.
Windows XP drivers have been included.
