If you dont have a printer as yet and have 8000 odd bucks go for it. This is the best printer that Ive had. So what if its the only one Ive had for one year now.
The printing quality has never ceased to amaze me. Crystal Clear as ever. So far I have removed 140 to 175 printouts and maybe 50 to 60 of them colour but the cartridge still goes on and on. Though I have been told that the cartridge costs in excess of 1200 bucks. So it is uneconomic by any means. But for home PC’s it will do. If you need it for an office then dot-matrix is the way to go. The print speed is amazing.
The interface is wonderful and whats more it can test two way communication and align the cartridges and carry out other maintenances at the click of a button. It also offers USB connection which is simply great. But it is not at all so rosy. Paper jams at least once a month. But that again is not such a big problem. Thankfully no ink leaking and all such things for me as yet.
It can handle all dimensions of papers and envelopes. It supports two sided printing both in the book as well as tablet format. The cartridge life as I said is between 150 to 250 printouts depending on the quality of the print outs you remove. The quality of printouts can be set from Normal to EconoFast to Best. For book printing Economic is recommended so that print does not show on reverse side. Best is preferred for photographs. If you have glossy paper or photographic paper then you will get excellent outputs. What’s more it is silent and not noisy at all. Very efficient if you ask me.
