I recently bought this printer. Was looking for a multi-purpose ink jet printer for my home use. Didn’t need fax capability so this model was a good match.
I have bought HP printers in the past and have confidence in the company.
I wasn’t dissapointed. The printer was very easy to set up once I removed all the packing material and tape from every nook and cranny. I had no CD drive so I needed to download the instructions from the internet to set up the printer and wireless system. it was painless and seamless. I’ve set it up with two computers and an iPad on my home network and it works just fine. The printing is very adequate as I use the draft setting most of the time. Print speed is fine and it aslo offers two sided printing which I’ve use once oHPr twice. I’ve used the scanner as well and it works fine.
It has a low profile as it doesn’t have an automatic feed but for my needs thats not a problem, actually a benefit as I wanted a low profile machine.
Too early to tell about ink usage but I like that it only uses two types of cartridges, one B&W and one color. The ink cartridges tend to be on sale often at Staples so I like using the HP ink.
