I am not really a huge fan of talking. especially over the phone. Everyone who knows me also knows that I prefer to text. But many times talking over the phone is inevitable, and the conversations can last for even upto an hour, and at these times holding the phone up to my ear can be a real hassle.
I had thought about buying a wireless headset since a long time. But the last time I had checked, I could not find a headset which could also be used for streaming music. My recent searches did yield results, as I came across the HP H3200 Wireless Headset.
I have always thought of HP as a reputed brand as I havent had any hassles with their products till date and did not have to think twice before placing the order.
The headset connects to your phone via Bluetooth and comes with a built-in battery, as is the norm with most devices these days. In the box you will get a ear hook, USB cable, quick start guide and the warranty information. The headset has a LED indicator which indicates the current state. A couple of hours on charge and the headset was fully charged and ready to use.
The headset is pretty easy to use: a power button which can also be used as the receive/hang up button and the volume rocker keys. It was extremely easy to set up as well. just had to switch on my phones Bluetooth actually. The headset feels pretty sturdy and not as if it were made of cheap plastic, although it is quite light in weight.
The headset can be worn on either ear and is moderately comfortable. Albeit I have used it for more than a week now, I still find it difficult to fit it onto my ear. It feels as if it will drop off anytime and requires quite a bit of fiddling, though that can be solved by using it alongwith the ear hook provided in the box. I tried wearing it for an hour at a stretch and it did tend to get a bit uncomfortable at the very end.
The call quality has been pretty good so far. No complaints as such and no dropped calls too, though some people whom I talked to did mention that they could hear quite a bit of background noise, albeit my voice was also clearly audible. The music playback has been excellent as well.
The headset comes in four different color options: Lime Green, Orange, Black and White.
