This is a good printer.Output quality, at least, is fully up to laser standards. Text quality just misses being the best available, which means the 1018 can handle any text you want to print. Text was well formed and easy to read at 4 points in the majority of fonts we test, 5 points in all but one font, and 10 points in one highly stylized, hard-to-print font.Setting up the 1018 is easy and typical for a personal monochrome laser. Simply install the toner cartridge, load paper, connect a USB cable ( there’s none included) , and run the automated installation routine, and you’re ready to print.
