I am an nri holding hsbc a/c in abu dhabi branch uae, my credit card is linked with my bank a/c, when I linked it they said I can use it to withdraw cash from my bank account also, as there is very limited hsbc atm, on 15th nov when I had required urgently the cash, i took my credit card thats linked to bank a/c to withdraw cash (i wanted cash from bank a/c and not credit card) and there was very much cash availble on my a/c, but the money came from my credit card a/c and not bank a/c, on the spot I called up telebanking department and said such problem has occured and its a mistake.and u can take the money from my bank a/c and not credit card.but they jus logged in the complaint(complaint reference no: cms 101111-AEAP8NGAMQ), but after 3 days they call me up stating that you have to pay the finance charge cos the cash has been used from 15th onward.
my question is: as I had contacted the branch on the spot when this mistake happened and I had enough money in my bank a/c during the said period.why they are charging me? and I had told the telebanking the same time that I can pay but they said wait till the complaint is resolved.
