Today I am going to share my personal experience with the HTC Desire 830 mobile phone. I bought this phone in December 2016 and I must say this is the worst smart phone I have bought
I will start with its OS. Other brand phones at this price are offering more features and latest Android version. I feel bad for buying this phone with so fewer features. And there are no firmware or UI software updates from HTC still for this phone.
The sound is alright but you don’t get enough bass expected from a phone at this price. Beware of using loud speaker during calls. You will frequently get disconnected while using the loud speaker. The UI is not the most user-friendly and has some clutters. I personally don’t like its style and its round edges are a minus in looks and design. It seems bald and not very attractive.
Now coming to the performance and battery, it scores worst of all. My first phone got a severe problem with the battery and it was over heating way too much. So I asked for a replacement from their service centre. They don’t have many authorised service centres and it is hard to find. My replacement piece didn’t overheat much but battery life was very poor. Anyways, just after 6 months of usage, the phone had severe lag while using complex apps and normal games.
Battery life is very poor, as you would get around just 6-8 hours of battery life for each charge. This is too bad for a phone in this price category. Its design makes it looks like old age smartphone. This is not worth even half its price. I suggest you stay away from this mobile and go for something else even half of this price
