Hhhhuuuummm [breathes] Hum Tuuummm - Audio Review

Director: Kunal Kohli

Producer: Aditya & Yash Chopra [Original clone of Karan Johar... lol...]

Music: Jatin - Lalit

Lyricist: Prasoon Joshi

Where have Jatin - Lalit been? They seemed to disappear.. and came out of nowhere! This is an audio review of their recent work, Hum Tum starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherjee and a few ’becharas’

Ladki Kyon - Shaan, Alka Yagnik, Saif & Rani

Shaan voices starts... ’’Ladki Kyon, Na Jaane Kyon..’’ The guitar prelude sounds like from ’’O O Jaane Jaana’’ Quite catchy at first... Then J-T tried to make it ’youthful’.. But fails to make it unique.. It’s quite mediocre... You know when the chorus do ’’Whooaawhoooa’’ - Not good... The guitar repeats its note over and over throughout the song! It’s a song about boys vs. girls... Well obviously... You would hear throughout the song, that Saif and Rani are arguing.... The lyrics are by some guy I never heard of! Shaan sounds a bit like Abhijeet in this song... [I think they were trying to copy ’’Jaane Kyun’’ from DCH] Quite disappointing... J-T, after a long time... Did not satisfy my ears in this one... I hate those kind of songs, where they talk in between, cause you know the actor’s talking voices do not match with their singing voices... [Ahem, Saif’s nasal voice!] :( J-T tried other instruments with different notes.. God... The drumming is so plain and boring... They used the machines, instead a real use of instruments..... I only liked the guitar in this song, which was in the beginning.. But then repeating it over would annoy me... MY RATING: 4.5/10

Chak De - Sonu Nigam & Sadhana Sargam

The title, sounds so corny, just like when Sonu sings it... ’’Chak De, Chak De, Chak De..’’ - OMG! It’s a song for Shoaib Akhtar!! Again, the guitar comes.. repeating it over and over... But with different notes... The drumming is sort of reggae-style... but more weird... Then the song goes into some sort of spanish routine, with guitars, trumpets and claves... Well, what can I say... The lyrics are awful in this one again.. Maybe, it’s me... NAH!.... No way.. this album so far is not good at all.... Trust me... It’s one of those songs, where you should be embarrased to be listening to in public! Sadhna’s voice scared me when she screamed ’’Chak De!’’..... I think that is enough for Chak De... Again the drumming machine is one.. ’’Put on number 1, drumming beat number 23’’.. I swear... That’s what it sounds like! Nothing unique! Oh.. they put a little bhangra for about one second.. But that’s it.. Whew! It’s over.. With a bad, use of orchestra hitting the last note! MY RATING: 4/10... I know it’s that bad...

Hum Tum - Alka Yagnik & Babul Supriyo

Some soft, woman’s voice begins... Uh oh.. Sounds like a sad song.. or a romantic one.. Can’t tell.. Oh no! It’s a rain song!!! Enough of barish!!! It has a soft use of tabla/congos/bongas in the background... ’’Oohh.. Hum, Hum Tum... Tum... Hum.. Hum.. Tum... HHhhhhhuummm.... TTTTTTtttuummm....’’ Tauba.. Couldn’t they say anything else?!?! The verse in this song sounds a bit of reprise from Dekha Teri Masti Nigahon Mein - From Khiladi - But that Khiladi song is much more better.... I bet that you would be hearing ’’Hhhuummmm... Hhhuummm TTttuuumm’’ throughout the whole film... If I hear that in the movie, I would be running out of the cinema hall screaming my head off.... Some guitars.... A bit of vioin.. that’s all... Not too bad... MY RATING: 5.5/10

Gore Gore - Alka Yagnik

A hip, song... at first... With synthesisers, trumpets, low toms.... I’m telling you.. It sounds like a bit of a Paki song... Tsk.. Tsk.. Tsk... Then there are some flutes and drumming... And then the typical Indian song, you would be hearing at like those weddings.. You know the beats of tabla, with the chorus... ’’tooo tooo too’’.... Then it goes to the hippy, preppy beats... With Alka singing... and then when she sings ’’... Yeh Gore Gore...’’ it goes back to the Indian beats again! Okay.. these are very cheap https://lyrics.. Back and forth with the hip music to the Indian music... Alka’s voice is not so bad... But with this song, it’s bad.... I am totally disappointed with J-T... Every song in this album, has the orchestra hitting the low note at the end of the song! MY RATING: 4.5/10

Yaara Yaara - Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan

DDJL guitar begins.. Yes, the same SRK guitar! Drumming machine is on... ....’’Yaara, Yaara...’’ from Udit’s voice sounds tired... Oh God.. I am being tortured from listening to this!!! It’s an Indian/spanish/hip music mix.. And what a bad mix... It sounds like one of those songs, from the 90s! From those flop movies... Udit really is beginning to sound old... Alka is alright... The tune in this song is so boring.. So plain.. So mediocre.. So bad...

MY RATING: 5/10

U ’n’ I (Mere Dil Vich Hum Tum) - Rishi Rich feat Veronica & Juggy D

A punjabi/bhangra song.. Possibly the singers are from England.. lol.... It’s a remix of ’Hhhhhuuuummm Tttuuummm’’... Lol... They try to make it westernized... I don’t know what to say... Sounds like a bit of Maahi Ve - From K3G.. noo KKHH.. Noo.. KHNH.... ’’Ohh Hoo.... Hum Tum’’ MY RATING: 5.5/10

I am so gonna boycott this film... Just waiting to see Main Hoon Na and Yuva.. and Lakshya.. and The Rising...

I’m gonna go listen to ’Yuva’ now.... Just to keep myself in peace from listening to a bunch of garbage....
