Let me start by sying that I truley hate mobile phones. Then why do I have one? my company insists. It is always off at weekends, they don’t pay me enough to be on call 24 /7! I use the cheapest one I could find, an old /Motorolla C200 .( 2nd hand - Rs/- 700 including charger). But I must say that I had a very good experience with Hutch / Vodaphone . I managed to snap my sim card in half, quite a difficult thing to do, but I have always been ham-fisted. Anywho I went to the Hutch shrowroom in Brigade RD. Not a good experience, very busy, with staff who have never heard of customer service, ( the manager was acctually playing solitaire on his computor. with 20 customers waiting!) My friends suggeasted that I go to the shrowroom at Koramangla opp. The forum, so I tried it .
What a difference, the staff were polite, efficient, pleasant, I was helped to fill in a short form asked to tske a seat and got a new sim card, with my currancy on it within 7 mins. I was truely amazed, customer service does exist!
The manager at Koramangla deservers a pat on the back, the manager at Brigade Rd. deserves a kick in the pants!
