Its just surprising how these companies operate in India with so much of lies, when they need your membership and how they change their whole scheme soon you have paid from your nose...why don’t some influential people take them to consumer court.
I have been prepaid customer for Orange--now Hutch Service providers from past 5 years...every time their sales-call keeps me bothering to join their post-paid scheme and save per call charges.
On 22nd October, I went to Hutch-Churchgate showroom to renew my Pre-paid scheme for 6 months the lady made me pay for One-year offering me best in town benefits. I also had complaint of call being cut in middle of conversation, for which I was advised to get new sim-card (As it is presumed that sim cards for hutch more or less defective ones).
While I was waiting for new sim-card, the lady on counter approached me and said I should better go for post-paid cards which are always guaranteed ones, she agreed that whatever I have paid (Rs. 3500 plus old balance of Rs.400/-) will be adjusted in deposit for ISD and International roaming facility. It will take few hours to change the scheme and activate.
Now, today its 05 November 2006, my telephone is only usable within India and they are asking me to pay additional Rs. 1700 extra for deposit of post paid scheme (Although, my Rs.3500/- which is already in their pre-paid account is not visible on any book of accounts).
Can anyone please look in to my grievance and revert further?
