Hyderabad Blues -- This looks like a new Resturant in Bandra. The name did interest me as im fond of Indian food. I had been eating Chinese and Italian for the past few weeks so I decided on giving Hyderabad Blues a try. This new resturant is located near 16th road in Bandra, walking distance from my house. Its decor looked decent from outside. The interior was not bad and the service came with a gentle smile from the waiters. We got a menu with hyderabadi food items - made me feel like I was sitting in a royal kitchen. I decided to order a vegeterian meal although it wasn’t really the right thing to do in a Hyderabadi Resturant specializing in non-veg items.
I ordered some shenaai paneer and shahi dal (i do not remember teh exact names) but these were teh recommendations we got from the waiter who was smiling constantly. Along with that, we ordered two butter naans and two rotis for the two of us. We waited for about 12 minutes and teh food was ready to be served. It was served in traditional dishes. The dal was one of the best. Reminded me of my mom’s dal! The paneer was awesome too. The quantity was just perfect for the two of us. For a mere Rs. 230, we had a great lunch. I was also asked to sign the guest book and I was more than willing to write good things about that place (look for the one by ’lambu’). I kept burping till the time I got home.
I think this place is worth a try. If you guys ever visit this place, do sign their guest book and look for my testimonial (by lambu). Bottomline: Great place to eat with a reasonable price.
