It is always a pleasure to visit Hypercity at Inorbit Mall, Vashi and it has become our place of choice for shopping for groceries and other food items.
Hypercity at Vashi is spread out in two floors. Groceries, other food items, toiletoris, crockery, cutlery etc are on the lower level and clothes, sports goods, toys, electronics etc on upper level. Now we dont really use the upper floor as the items available there are very normal, not much choice in clothing and actually there are better shops available to buy such items within the Inorbit mall. But when it comes to groceries and other food related items.... Hypercity has no match.
The quality of stuff available there is really good. There is plenty of variety to choose from and you can buy the item of your choice matching with your packet. Like you can buy simple amul cheese as well as real good imported cheese though it might cost you a fortune. Even for simple items like spices you have such choices. You can buy normal as well as exotic spices, vegetables, a wide variety of breads and what not.
Non veg section is awsome and you can get exactly what you are looking for. However, ham, salami etc available there are a trifle too costly.
checkout counters are fast and efficient and I have always found the staff pleasant and helpful. While shopping at Hypercity, one has to be careful as many brands are stacked together or nearby and some of them may be extraordinarily costly. So do check the price tag of each item that you pick up.
There newly opened wine section is again a pleasure to visit as they have real good choices in wines, beers etc. Since this area is adjacent to basement parking, once you check out you can take your trolley right up to your car and that is again something that makes me go there for bulk shopping. The parking area is huge so except weekend evenings, parking is never an issue
We have compared the rates with other grocery stores and realized that the rates are ok, if you are careful in picking up the items that you want. As I said before there is a lot of variation in prices among different brands. Do check it out. It is the place to shop. And while you shop around, kids can go and enjoy in the Playzone.
