I bought this car because we wanted to upgrade ourselves post driving Fiat, Ambassador, Maruti 800 & Maruti Zen. we wanted to change to a Hyundai Car.To my surprise there are many competitors in the market today however Accent excells because of its swanky appeling looks , smooth drives and a comfort of luxury in this segment at ceiling of 6 Lacs & below. I have certain technical comments as I agree on them.Braking of the car is not so good. Suspension also not very good and low seating in the back seat is not very comfortable. Inside the cabin, you do not feel as safe as you would in a Fiat or Optra for that matter.
Also, we could smell petrol inside the cabin and we couldn’t figure out why? I have this experience with Accent even before. (This may be specific to the car, but if someone knows, must let others know about this problem). Ride and Handling is definitely not one of the best. (I feel Fiat or Honda are much better in this department). On uphill roads, it was really giving up! Overall : The experience was good especially when you see Hyundai dealers and workshops on your way. I feel this is a good buy for city driving and not for highway lovers and those who want to add power to their driving. In the city driving the car is wonderfull and no other car even as on date match with this with in the price barrier.
Honda City is expensive by a Lac. If CRDI is re-introduced with in 6 Lacs ceiling, this will be real hit due to its performanceShubhrant ChandraI have changed my car but still miss Hyundai Accent. I envy this car & some how feel I should get one back !! Cheers to Hyundai riders!! I also came to know short supply of specific colour range in this car due to probable model change?? I guess they will come with better model of all cars with in the suitable range of today’s executives / individuals.Shubhrant
