I am using Hyundai Accent GVS now since an year. I would guarantee you that it is the best in the segment. Lot of people buy ford Ikon jus bcos they get carried away by their Marketing stuff. But when I test drove all the vehicles like Maruti Esteem, Ikon, Accent etc., I would quote FORD IKON as ’’ Found On the Road Dead’’. If u fall for the price of Ford Ikon then I can even suggest you to go for Esteem rather than Ikon. Accent costs little bit on the higher side, but its really worth the money you pay. Ikon has no pick-up when u compare it with an Accent. The milage Accent gives is better than any other car in its segment. It gives me 11-12 Kms in city and 13-14 Kms on highways. The driving pleasure and pick-up is excellent. The engine does not even sound at 140 kmph. But there are little hickups like the interiors in accent are not done well. Hyundai has to improve its interiors. Forgot to mention about the gear knob-shift. You might fall in love for the car jus bcos of this. Its so damn lovely and makes ur drive hassle-free. The smooth drive u get is uncomparable. It cruises on the road effortlessly. The disadvantage Accent has is only the long bonet in the front which gets u irritated while driving in City but that will not pose a big problem once u get used to it. I am driving it in the most congested part of Chennai, Sowcarpet area which is Old Chennai now. but still, I dont have probs in driving the car in such narrow streets. The car service from Access Hyundai is also good and friendly. The maintenance bill will not cross Rs.2, 000/-. I have driven 26, 000 Kms and the car does not have any problems till date.
