I bought my 2002 Hyundai Accent in August of 2001. At first I was looking at the Sonatas, but when I couldnt afford one, I turned to the Accent. I liked the fact that Hyundai offered a 100, 000 mile/10 year warranty on the engine/powertrain. At the time, I was in college and also thought the Accent would be a cute college car. Surprisingly, the Accent has a lot of trunk space and back seat space. Of course it is more cramped than a four door sedan, but it is not as bad as it would seem. I find the seats very comfortable. The Accents engine runs smoothly. The ride is a little bumpy sometimes, but not as bad as you would expect from such a small, inexpensive car. The Accent also gets great gas mileage..about 28 city and 31 highway. On the down side, the Accent does not come with anti-lock brakes. I also get some annoying wind noise when driving with the windows up. Other than that, if you are looking for an inexpensive, small car, I highly recommend the Hyundai Accent.
