Our previous car maruti 800( year 2000 bought) was damaged in a minor road accident and for that I, my parents had a plan to buy a new car and sell the old one . My dad is a doctor and the maruti was his all purpose car, while in that car only I also learnt my driving and did some occational travel as a driver. I never felt anything bad while because of its look the car was not that much popular in my friends circle becuase its a simple car! and certainly not in the competition of santro/wagonR/alto .
However we thought of buying maruti only until my dad saw an elantra from one of his patient and also confirmed by booking it next day .
when I saw it first time I found it is too big compared to our previous car .And that time I thought I cannot drive it becuase its a big car! So I was not in driver’s position for first 3-4 days but then oneday I tried, and after 3 months sometimes I dont allow my dad to drive it .
luxury:
yes its a luxury car if u look at the interiors .it has got everything just say its a fully loaded luxury car .
engine:
I dont know about the technical things about the engine and I dont even want to copy that but I can share my experience that the pick up is very good. I have drived our previous car M800 and tata indica, maruti alto, and esteem also but this is purely heaven .And I can feel the power of the engine which incresed my confidence to drive the car .
Some other things that I liked are:
traction control
2 airbags.I never saw any indian car have this facility
I can very well adjust my driver seat
Very powerful AC/climate contol
Now about a very important point milage . In city I got almost 13 kmpl and in mumbai pune highwy its near to 16 . SUUUUPEEERRRR for this big car .
Now about price its 10 lacs on road .
while driving u will feel the luxury.and its not a car its really a sedan . However I liked it very much.and all can say its fun to drive on good roads . Often we have to travel between mumbai and pune, last time I drove entirely on the mumbai-pune highway our driver became a passenger. And it happened that I got an addiction in it.so much that my father is thinking’not to sell his old maruti but to repair it because this one completely became mine .
well about some drawbacks.I heard there is some problem in rear seat that for some its tooo low, but I think that is wrong because the front seat’s is tall as u have head support and that barricads the rear person to see the front view .
we bought this car from sraayu hyundai, the owner is somewhat known to my dad, however I didnt went to choose the car or any activities, my dad and our driver did all these things . However I asked them, they told that their behaviour was ok but they were late doing all those things. Ok in test-driving a car but they provide too short time while the late caused by them .
