I have purchased new Elantra on Dec 2013, since it had clocked more than 10, 000 kms. This was the reason for me to write for the second time something about the car. I will not go into the features list & specs of the cars.
I will speak out directly about pros & cons of the car.
I love this car for its coupe like futuristic design, the cars crdi engine is so refined that sometimes people mistake it for a petrol one. The gears are smooth and easy to drive. Overall this car is good for city as well as highway drive.
Pros
1.Featured packet.
2.High plastic quality.
3.Good fuel economy.
4.Low on maintenance.
5.Aggressively priced. But there are some area’s where Elantra lacks a bit. The suspension is on softer side making it bouncy on high speeds, the headlights are not powerful, thus making driver shifting from low beam to high beam frequently. This car weighs only 1300kgs making it lightest in the segment which is bonus for fuel economy but it lose some points on the stability front.
Cons
1.Soft suspension not good for highway drive.
2.Head unit not doing its job as required for car of this.

3.Short on rear headroom.
4.Short on steadiness and firmness on high speeds. As we all say good comes with some bad, but other wise looking at the cost of this car in D segment. It’s a car to go for if you want to save some huge bugs.elantra comes 2 to 3 lacs cheaper than it rivals in the segment.
This is why opted for this car which also comes with good service network too.
