My requirement was to have a "big" small car. I was having Suzuki Wagon R and found it very small and you feel cramped inside. So decided to have a change. Lot fo research wento in to decide on the car. The factors considered were:
1) Looks - Defintely Getz captured my eye on the first sight compared to any other(Fiat Palio, Ford Ikon, Opel Corsa, Tata Indica, Ford Fusion)
2) Drive comfort - The test drive was very impressive and the space really coool(Tried Swift and found not so impressive as the gear rod is too flimsy and you feel like shifting a truck gear)
3) Interiors - Being an automobile person, looked at interiors a little carefully and found the workman ship in the car excellent and fine to the core(Swift is too noisy inside as it rattles more)
4)Fuel Efficiency - Dealer told me that I would get any where between 12 -14KMPL
There I go(:-)(:-)(:-)- Got the car during April 2005 and has been pleasure driving the car all along.
I have been recording and observing the mileage that I am getting for evry filling. On an avarage I am getting over 13 KMPL in the city and over 17 KMPL on highways(with A/C is patially on).
The drive comfort was so good that I have driven at a stretch 500 Kms with out any fatigue. I assure you enjoy the drive in this car.
The only negative point I have observed recently is A/C is not all the effective and it takes really time to get the compartment cooled(May be this needs a service).
The other point ot mention here is after 35, 000 Kms I had to change the tires that were fitted by the company(Good year). I guess the life of the tire should be around 50, 000 Kms.
