Thanks to everyone whoever contributed their valuable info and comments about the new i10 kappa.Simply superb car.
I have been doing all comparisons and reviews about all small segments cars for the last three months and finally decided to go for i10 kappa and taken delivery on 5th Sep 2008. Frankly, on first drive I lost my soul to the cute buddy.
I test drove Swift lxi , cos that was my dream car but somewhat didnt get good feedback though I had not listened and tried Chevy spice but felt like squeezed on back.
Then my eyes were set on the Santro 2008 model found it to be good, then finally when I went to showroom to book my mind was changed to i10 1.2 magna.
Engine - smooth, refined, noiseless and listens what you need. Negligible noise when AC is on, otherwise soundproof once all windows closed, at least you can speak on a call with loudspeaker on.
Power, Pick up - Excellent pick up in first, 2nd and even 3rd gear. On first gear and reverse little force is required to put even the clutch is full on. Need to show it on the first service. May be console based gear shifting?! (Im not favoring Hyundai :))
The drive is smooth and the tubeless tyres nice on this segment. Till now I havnt speeds yeyond 80kmph as this still new may be I need to try on highway and break as well.
Mileage - On first time, filled 15 litres and I got 21kmpl with AC on city. (Counldnt believe myself)
Comfort /Quality - The build quality levels are grea8 at this segment.
Once again thanks to everyone, I feel my first is a better and best car. Performance is equivalent to Swift petrol even the specs are almost equal.
Pros: Better interior/build quality, pickup of course mileage.
Cons: At this price Hyundai should consider some addl. value add on the accessories like remote central locking, fog lamps or at least price down to 20k minimum.
