Ubercool i10

I am happy to inform u guys that my family bought i10 1.2 kappa this april 3rd. My dad had 2002 model alto and it started giving us minor problems like rattle sounds and small leaks. so we realised its high time we bought a new car.my heart was filled with joy as I have always wanted a car with power windows.

Our first stop was at chevrolet showroom to test drive aveo uva.personally I dont like this car ..no matter even if it was designed by some italian greu..gref.. studio...something like that.the car looks bulky and it comes with an inflated price tag and and deflated features.test drove the car and we booked middle option .

That night I accidently came across one article which says aveo uva new model has been launched in europe and is on its way to india by june 2009.we enquired with the chevy dealer and he told us that it is going to launch in 2012(oh really....he was telling as if uva was selling like hot cakes).we didnt want to take the chance so we dropped aveo.

KTC hyundai calicut was our next stop.the minute we entered the show room I was all over i20 and my dad was like"dont even think about it".He had plans to go for santro but to my luck the official came to my rescue and suggested i10. On april 3rd.....our very own 1.2 magna kappa beauty was there in front of the showroom waiting for us to spin her! I have not tested i10 before and the delivery date was my first driving experience with the i10.

Interiors were damn cool, silent engine everything was fine for me as I had an alto previously. City driving has never felt so good and I gave the "eat my dust" look to other cars in city traffic...although I felt a bit underpowered in highways! KTC hyundai Calicut was notorious for its bad service during 2000-2006 period.but the new word is that its a thing of the past! we got 15000rs+20000rs discount (although I am not sure what were the categories).

The officials were very friendly and co operative, they even gave us a free ride in i20 back to our home after the booking. But BEWARE WHEN ACCESSORISING THE CAR!they tried to trick my dad into buying an obsolete version of kenwood music system worth 9000rs(its looked like 500rs worth junk..with lcd display and no usb facility).so if u plan extra fittings make sure u see the items they plan to fit on your car!otherwise they will become "pirates of the hyundai showroom"

I went to the show room and asked for the model(mp3) they have chosen for the car and was really shocked...i wanted to shout at them...but controlled myself. and I opted for the latest kenwood mp3 system and I warned them if they try to fit the old one again I would simply throw it at their face! Accessories included alloy wheels+keyless entry+kenwood music system(even latest version sucks big time). God knows what mileage this beauty has in store for us!
