I10 is Really great improvement form Santro in terms of
1. Nice interior
Fresh feel Beach color interior Crash board, Pillars(A, B&C), Injection Door drims(for all variants where as in Santro only for top variant XO) and Head Roof in Non woven fabric with Glass fiber type which is eco friendly, less weight & fresh feel( where as in Santro – Washable PVC which is more convenient than i10)
Rear power window buttons are placed in Door trim itself(where as in Santro, buttons are placed in back to the parking break which make the rear passengers to search for buttons)
Excellent seating system
New Front High back Seat with excellent back support which gives more superior look than Santro. Seat fabrics are silky & gives rich look than old Santro(XK, XL, XO) with water repellency property(water will not observe by the fabric & we can wipe out)
Rear seat is 70 mm wider than Santro(3 can fix perfectly than Santro) & more cushioning foam than Santro which gives pleasant seating.
Nice Gear shift
Again win in the segment for smooth gear shift(Cable linked which is not in Santro). Gear is mounted in crash board itself which is bench marked form FIAT 500(unique feature in this segment in India which makes us to keep bottles in the cup holders where as in Santro it’s not possible)
Nice Exterior
Front bummers are fixed highly with nice Hyundai logo. Looks like Honda city
Good Suspension
Rear suspension improved with coil springs like Getz(Where is in Santro rear passengers will feel bumpy ride)
Engine response
Same Santro engine fitted with new transmission line which results in little improvement in BHP & Torque
New Kappa serious Engine(Aluminum block where is in Santro alloys) planned in i10 after 2008 mid which is 1200 CC with excellent performance & litter improved mileage
