I purchased a hyundai i20 car two and a half years back expecting it to last good for atleast 5-6 years, but the tragedy with the car started from the first day of ownership.The car initially used to make a very strange rattle or a clatter kind of noise which used to disappear when the clutch was pressed and when this problem was brought to the notice of service centre guys during first service when the car had done only 800kms on the odo they told me that it was a gear box problem.
What the hell???Gear box gone bad in a new car ????? He told me to open the gear box and then refurbish it, at that time I wasn’t knowing about it’s complications, so I gave them a green signal. Since then the car is making so bad noise from here and there and even changing gear is hard and seems to be loose and the service centre has totally spoiled my car. I even wrote a letter to hyundai co. regarding this hoping they would help me but they just resent my mail to service centre. Now to sum it up I want to say that this was my first new car and my heart really stops pumping every time I see this car. Now i.e after close to 3 years of owning this vehicle I have driven it only 9000 kms because every time I drive this car I feel like I am being tortured. It’s monsoon right now and the car is getting water logged very badly even with two covers on it, entire dashboard and roof is leaking because of which the carpet is getting totally wet and the lower body is rusting.
I request all you rich and poor people who wants to buy a car from hyundai to think really hard. Please please avoid buying car from hyundai or else one day you will regret. Now I am planning to go in a legal direction for all these torture as recently to add to the worse, when I was going on a trip with my family in this crap car, I experienced a near death experience in this so called 5 star safety car when the engine just came out of the car during going up the hill where trucks coming from front.
Now it’s enough I will put my whole life to get justice and even leave my job if it requires. I will try my level best to sue hyundai.Please guys I am very sad and in pain, I am not rich, I bought this car as owning a good and luxurious car was my dream since my childhood and I always used to fantasize me washing my own car on sundays, but all these problems pulled me away from doing it. I would really appreciate all the readers if they just reply to my one single question. Was it my fault that all these happened?
