Initial roundup.

Hi all,

Bought the magna, petrol version about 3 weeks back. I am a doctor and do about maximum 25 kms/day. Did about 800 kms and these are my initial views.

Car has a lot of style and oomph factor not seen by many in its segment. The interiors are awesome.I had considered Ritz and the Swift before zeroing in on this one and am not all dissappointed. The rear leg space however is the same as in other popular models this is probably to increase the boot space which I had found to be extremely adequate. Good seating posture and tiltable steering allows for fatigue free driving.

Drive quality is good and a light as a lotus steering makes taking those tight turns pretty easy. However you probably would have to change those gears pretty often at low speeds. Secong gear isnt in the speed range that you are used to especially if you have driven maruti’s before and shifting to either 1st or 3rd on your speed is a norm with this car. If you are a zippy guy looking to overtake everybody on the road.a big red flag.car is sluggish and a tad underpowered so if you are looking for power and acceleration.go to swift or figo instead.

I was really surprised with some of the reviews on the AC performance. This is one of the few sub-600000 cars with a climate control system and the car cools down pretty fast, atleast in Hyderabad. Another factor is the mileage. I used the full tank method to calculate mine and it was giving me 10.5/litre. I am yet to give the car for its first servicing so expecting a bit of improvement on this one.

To summarize buy this for comfort, good drive quality and style. Dont buy this for acceleration and speed.
