The new hyundai santro looked more promising than it actually is.
Launched in october last year there was huge pre booking list for the car but now that list doesn’t seem to match the number of cars on the roads.
The engine, the value for money is still okay starting from 3.5 to almost 5 lakhs and a four cylinder engine producing 68bho and 99 Nm of torque is not bad either but the looks and driving experience is not matching the high expections from hyundai.
My problem with this is that there is no AMT in top notch model and also the safety issues that the air bags are not standard in all the variants.
Also the company should have considered the diesel variant because of the 4 cylinder theyvare putting in.
In all one should consider swift hatchback and wagonR which are proving to be a big conpetitor for this new hyundai santro.
