Value for money

Ever since Santro was launched in1998 it has seen rising sales, the reason is very simple, easy to drive, brand name (remember the same car is sold as Atos in europe), value for money. The after sales backup is also very good, u can find Hyundai service centers almost everywhere. The driver appeal is very good, especially if you are upgrading from a maruti.

However the LE Model which comes without power steering may not appeal to many. I would say go for a LS which comes with powr window and power steering. Handling at high speeds, responsiveness, u can feel that the car has something more to offer even at 100 kmph. You can achieve a safe speed of 120 kmph very quickly after which vibrations set in. However the car doesn’t lose its grip & handling is superb at this speed. Mileage is good at an avg. of 16kmpl. The santro becomes expensive to maintain as it ages unlike a maruti.

The santro doesn’t like to be parked on even surfaces, the chassis tends to bend a little and might result in door locking problems, rattling etc. The car is very good to it if u r good to it, demands attention and doesn’t like very bad roads.

VERY GOOD CAR IF YOU ARE UPGRADING FROM A MARUTI, OR FOR DRIVING FROM A TO B & OCCASSIONAL LONG DRIVES.
