I am driving Hyundai Santro Xing XG for the last Three years. I
boughtit in Sept03 and have so far done 29K KM on this cute car. I
havent had major problems in the car. Its a real pleasure to drive
this car especially in the citys deplorable traffic conditions. I stay
in Bangalore. I have taken the car out on a couple of long drives and
even cruised at 110KM/H. The car is smooth and stable even at that
speed.
I bought this car from Advaith Hyundai and the dealer is
good.Servicing the car is a pain with Advaith as he doesnt have
enoughnumber of service outlets in Blore.
Most of the time you
will be kept waiting for days to get your car serviced as the service
stations are unable handle the number of cars.
I get a mileage
of 12KMPL in the city with A/C on. In the long stretch on the highway,
the car is more frugal and I got 18KMPL when I droveconsistently at
80KMPH.
The car is very economical to maintain and had no major
service issues.Only parts I replaced in the last three years are Brake
pads and Brakediscs. I fitted the car recently with K&N Air Filter
and I sawconsiderable improvement in the performance ( milage and
pickup). Theonly glitch in Santro is the back seat ride and the
positioning ofpedals.
Long drives in Santro without pitstops
may lead to ur legs going numb because of the awakward positioning of
the ABC( Accelarator, Brake, Clutch) pedals.
The car is otherwise reliable and is good buy at INR 4.20 Lakhs, On road, Bangalore.
