My dad was in a dilemma until this cute car(xing xl) solved our problems as he wanted a indica xeta or an alto...this car as compared to other cars in its class fares very well in all the areas..some details:-the driving comfort is ultimate.highly responsive engine, cluitch rest paddle and bucket seats dont make me feel like shutting off the engine!!
The gear(inspite of some vibs) are also precise and short throws engage them easily..on the power front, this car loses power upon switching on the ac, and shows lil tiredness on uphills, even the starting gears have short ratios which lead to higher revving by slight throttle opening..but the 5th gear is uber cool, and even hauls the car at speeds of 45 kmph..i had taken this car at speeds of 155kmph once on baroda ahmd expressway and the feeling was a lil scary..
The steering is hydaulic powerd which means that it is more reliable and respomsive, as compared to other companies electric powerd steerings in its class..on the contrary, my parents complain about bumpy ride at the rear..but due to gas filled shocks even rough roads feel smooth..this car had broken down once due to malfunction of coolant valve, but the services provided by downtown motors are quite good, they replaced it in half an hour even at 8pm!!!ive noticed that the rear brakes tend to jam after driving the vehicle in rainwaters, so I wud suggest not to engage the handbrake and instead use the gear while keeping it parked..
To obtain good economy figures, donot exceed the revvs even if the machine would invite u to!!, keep at 70kph steady speeds with ac at speed 1(its quite powerful!!)..in my opinion, the bootspace is a lil awkward as compared to wagonR, which could have been better and even the dashboard utility could have been implemented..electricals and other components are class apart, and I haven changed even a lamp in 3yrs..in short a smart package...
