I was looking for a midsized car suitable for city driving when I bumped into this beauty called Santro Xing. This is my first car.
Earlier, I really used to hate this car because of its looks. Here, I am talking about the old Santro models like zip etc. But, Santro Xing changed my mind set totally. I was considering Zen and WagonR as the probable candidates but when I saw Santro Xing for the first time in Gwalior trade fair, it struck our mind (myself and my wife) so much that we immediately decided to go for it.
The best thing I liked about this car is its tall boy design which gives its passengers a comfortable head room and the spacious leg room in the rear. The other thing which impressed me is the comparatively large boot space (as compared to Zen). It doesn’t run, but it glides on the road. Thanks to its super smooth suspensions and feather touch power steering which makes driving a unforgetful event :-). The gear shift is smooth and braking is superb. I am always confident even at high speeds. The car is very stable even at high speeds.
Now coming to the engine, when you step onto the accelerator its like waking a beast within. You can feel the force while accelerating. The car can run on gradual slopes even on the top gears.
On the negative side, as everybody has mentioned in their reviews, the AC is not very effective and moreover it could have been better. AC is not very effective in the rear seats.
But definitely, its a dream car with a nice blend of great styling and comfort. I would definitely recommend the propective buyers to think about this car...
