I own this car from Dec 2004 in Bangalore, all these days it was my Ducky but from the past 2 months the pick got worse in 2nd gear, gradually the 1st gear pick up too dropped, the car was getting fagged in these two gears, when I took my Ducky to the authorised centre and asked him to check out as to why the pick up is so bad, he called up and told that the Cranck shaft in the engine has worn out, I was really shocked at this bcoz my car has hardly done 15k kms and there’s problem with one of major compenents, this requires me to shell out 18 to 20k as per the authorised service centres’ ballpark and i’ll be coughing up for more than what i’ve driven.
I have really lost trust in Hyundai cars, my next car will definitely not be an Hyundai make, Hyundai has a long way to go in making reliable quality cars. Friends do keep your eyes and ears open before you go for this car bcoz I don’t know how well it perfoms say 2 or 3 years down the line.
