I’m on that familiar crossroads deciding on a sedan, I’ve test driven the SX4, Verna and the Aveo and wanted some help in deciding on which car to choose
My observations and comments on the options in this segment:
SX4 (ZXI)
I found this car feature loaded and responsive, however I noticed blind spots created by the huge ’A’ pillars and reversing seems to be a bit tricky. The interiors are not impressive for a car that costs that much.
The drive quality is nice with suspensions feeling ok
Verna (XXI with ABS)
Impressive pickup, good use of space on the inside, and drive quality is nice and comfortable. I did not really like the front look of the Verna but it looks nice from the side and the back.
It’s got unimpressive interiors although the seating space seems to be one of the best in it’s class.
Aveo 1.6 LT (with option pack, ABS, airbags etc.)
Has the best looks externally and internally, although they have not made as good use of the space inside as the Verna. The drive quality again is nice and comfortable too however its lacks initial pickup which I feel is the biggest drawback
Feista and City - Did not consider these due to the high after sales maintenance costs
I’m undecided between the Aveo and the Verna, are there any convincing reasons for choosing one over the other?
