I was planning to read a fiction and that too a romantic novel(mostly I won’t do) and started to search on sites and I found this book “I too had a love story” by Ravinder Singh. The title attracted me and it was there in the national best selling list and also the author claimed it to be his real story so I bought this book and started reading it.
The story starts with Reunion where Ravin(author) and his three friends met together after a long gap.
It was their job which separated them. So at the reunion they met together and started to discuss about their future plans on marriage. Then comes the idea of matrimony sites, shaadi.com.
Ravin registered his profile in shaadi.com and started searching for his life partner. Some days later he got a sms from a girl named khushi(shaadi.com).By this the romantic love story starts. Both got the same DOB and some common interest among them. Both started luving each other who not even met each other and the luv story goes on the way till engagement. Then comes the tragedy and the final end of the story which made me to cry.
The story has not got much happenings but I am sure ur heart will be paining after finishing this book.
I don’t think the entire book is real I think the author has added some little fiction in it. Does anyone feel the same? Just asking. I think recollecting everything and doing it in a book need some fictions to be added and I think the author has added it.
I am just trying to figure out what made everyone to cry and I got these three
The author claims the story to be true
Ravin was dreaming in the bus while going to hospital from his hometown. I think the entire dream with khushi was little fiction. Where khushi says statements like
“y did u skip your dinner? You hungry na”
“Promise me will u take care of yourself…Always”
“Becos I am not able to bring rajma chawal for you all the time” n laughs
“Shona thank you for giving me the luv of my life”
And then the actual news broke out to Ravin.
I think these few lines(ravin dream) n the following news created the feel.
- I think those who read this book are dying to see khushi’s pic even myself want to see her pic.I would say it was this which made everyone to feel the story, becos everyone imagined Khushi in their own way as so beautiful, So it seems the author don’t want to disturb the readers imagination by unrevealing her pic or maybe he will use it in his next book.
Anyway I feel sad for Khushi and Ravin. But I want Ravin to show the pic of his loved one, if not now at least some other day.
I will not read this book again becos I don’t what to cry again even I watched a movie to forgot this but in vain.
This luv story will surely remain for some time in readers mind.
Overall this was really a Gd romantic novel, Must read.
