My team lead is almost a deaf and dump person.Even they are better and quick to respond.
He is a dead person.he is least bothered about the team members.He has zero team lead management qualities.He hardly talk to the team.If you seek help from him, he will ask you more questions to you instead of helping.He is Zero in all means.I am not saying it just like that and I am not angry on him.
My Manager, he is heading SAP BASIS competency and he doesnt know using First name and Last name, how to address them.
Today he shocked me, in a mail to a top most senior person of Client, I addressed him as MR. Last name, My manager told me that its wrong to address like that, moreover he forced me to call with the first name.
Even a small school kid better known about calling a person with Mr.Last name is highly formal way and respectable way. My manager is competency head.God save the competency.
Key points to a manager:
1) First stop pretending that you are very busy.people are not so dump.everyone know what you do.
2) Stop pressurizing the team.let them think in their own way.
3) Very important - STOP ACTING OR BEHAVING LIKE A BEGGAR WITH THE CLIENT AND DONT FORCE THE TEAM TO DO THE SAME.
4)Stop being more proactive.Just let your team do their work as per SLA.
5)Stop blindly believing what team lead says.try to know what exactly happening in the team and with team.
6)Stop giving irrelevant answers, try be always frank and direct to the team.
7)Stop showing partiality to few and who are buttering.try to recognize the best.
8)Stop being selfish.
9)Stop blaming the team.even if mistake is not done by team.if the mistake done by you, team lead or CLIENT.
10)Start.to be a HUMAN.before being a MANAGER.
