Here are the lists of reasons why team Indian are out of the world cup:
Let’s start from the first match where the Indians lost to the Bangladesh by 5 wickets. Sachin tendulkar, Rahul dravid, and Saurav ganguly are the names of players who are regarded as the best in the game. Sachin has about 380 odd matches under his belt, which is by far more than the sum of matches played by each Bangladeshi player.
Sachin went out playing an ordinary shoot of a part time spinner who has hardly 20 wickets under his belt. Even the player of class of Dravid, who is regarded as one of the best technically sound player went out LBW of a straight delivery by a left arm off spinner. Saurav ganguly was struggling in all his innings in world cup although he scored 66 and 89.
So, here are the factors, which went wrong for Team India.
1) Captaincy: Rahul dravid is questionable, Under his captaincy India lost to west Indies, champions trophy followed by a humiliating 4 nil loose against south Africa. I agreed that India won against west Indies and lankan’s in Indian soil, but u have to keep in mind that lankan’s were not playing magician Murali and Chaminda vaas in that series. Sourav ganguly is a far better captain than dravid on any given day, his record as the most successful captain in both forms of the games reflects his commanding ability. But as a player ganguly leaves lot to desire.
2) Guru Greg: Greg chappel, one of the best cricketers of all times was appointed as Indian coach 2 years back, where he promised that he will make the Indian team the best team in the world and also that he will bring the young blood into the game. Well, after two years, result is in front of us, India lost to Bangladesh in a world cup tournament and now all the teams’ members are packing their bag to return back to India. What a shame indeed.
Guru Greg’s coaching style was never suited to players of India. His innovative ideas yielded nothing more than injuries and looses. Yuvraj singh was out of cricket for 4 months playing “ kho kho” as directed by coach. Yuvi was in the form of his life when he had to face that knee injury, hopefully he is fit now.
He was better suited to coach players of teams like Australia and England whose players are tremendously fit.
3) System: The BCCI should also take blame for what happened. They are not making any efforts to improve the flat pitches in India.Until and unless BCCI provides good seaming bouncy tracks like those in south africa and australia, our young players will keep on failing in foriegn soil.
4) Unnecessary publicity given to players: Even if Dhoni changes his underwear brand, it’s a big news in India and young kids are running hear and there to search one from the same brand. Come on man! What is all this? Do we need to respect these guys who do not care for us? Well, I don’t think so…instead of watching cricket it’s better to promote other games like Tennis and hockey.
So guys, Plz stop singing HOO HAA INDIA.
