I am very unproud customer of ICICI Bank as it has extensively provided me with only problems whenever n whereeveer I have had a banking requirement. When you have any problems, they are always there (Hum Hain naa) to multiply them and return them to you.
I had a case wherein I have a ICICI Bank Big Bazaar Card. I had never ever registered or even tried to register for Mobile Bill Auto Payout with them anytime. The bank officials did it on their own and I got statement after 4-5 months of this happening. Till then I tried to find out how my bill was getting paid off, but in vain.
Later when I came to know that it was from this Big Bazaar card, that my hutch bill was getting paid, I called ICICI and told them to cancel it, paying the necessary outstanding. They again (so called smilingly) told me that it has been cancelled and this wont happen again.
But now what these smart assholes at ICICI do??? They issue me a silver card under this Big Bazaar Card, and automatically start Auto Pay for the same number, even without my knowledge/consent or even informing me and I again fall in the same cycle. Again, when I receive the bill after 3 months, I come to know about their smartness. When I call ICICI n tell them about repeating it, they want to say that I have registered it. So when I ask them for proof that I have done it, they dont have an answer to it (and they will never have because I haev not registered for it). If I had to register for it, thenI wont have cancelled it in the first place.
Then the first customer service representative I spoke to regarding this, told me that it will get cancelled and also lodged a complaint to find out for reason why the auto pay was started directly and gave me the complaint number.
Later after 5 days, when I gave a call in to ICICI phone banking with this complaint number, the phone banker says that their systems are down, when prior to giving the complaint number, she helped me with some other issues. Then when asked for a manager, she transfers me to some person called Hemlata (who claims to be a manager, but sounded like her own colleague). She was even more pathetic to handle. She was constantly telling me that it was cancelled, when I knew it was, but wanted to know how did it get activated again, and also whatz the assurance that it will not get reactivated again. Also she was screaming, yelling in between as if just had some fight with her husband and come to office. Then when I asked her to provide a case number for this call, she was not ready to provide me. I wanted to refer to this call in the future, but Hemlata (so called manager at ICICI voice calls), refused flatly saying that she was not authorised to give me any information. Also when I asked for her supervisor, she says she is the ultimate boss there and no one is supervising her (which is unbelieveable that a so called professional ICICI bank doesnt have supervision above 1 level). Then when asked her for her EMP ID, she was not ready to give. I told her it was just to refer to this call that I had spoken to a so called manager hemlata, she says that you can ask for just Hemlata (as if there is only 1 Hemlata in the universe). When asked for call reference number again, she says she wont provide any information and cannot transfer it to anyone.
Also this is not the first time that there has been friction while working with ICICI bank. Previously, w henever they find that the call is for a complaint, their common answers receivd are "System is not working.". When asked for managers, their common answer is "She is in a meeting/Canteen". They are more of a problem than help.
So to sum it up, my experience with ICICI bank has never ever been even close to bad. Its always been worse. So anyone wanting to open an account with ICICI, or have any kind of relationship with them, make sure you are at least 6 days free in a week and have the capacity to bear loads of tensions and any suprises, .
To add to the above thing, I was promised to have a call given back in 7 days by this SHT bank, and now it has been 7 weeks and these CHOR people could not revert back as they know what they are......
