I enquired on a loan against property last week (on Monday) at the ICICI Bank Call centre. I was promised on a call in the next 2 days but have not yet received a call on the same. This is quite surprising as the bank loses on the resources and money spent on the agent who attended my call and from the fact that I could be a possible customer for the bank. I suggest, ICICI Bank looks carefully at its lead management system to make it more robust and responsive.
I then called up GE Money, as a friend said they had a good loan-against-property product at just 9.99%. They too promised an executive to call me in 2 days and the executive called me up in 1 day. Now thats good responsive lead management.
I am also surprised over the fact that banks and other financial services are still relying on excel sheets for their LMS purposes. The use of technology is still in a nascent stage for most institutions, I guess.
