I applied for the Credit Card with the ICICI bank in the first week of March, around three weeks later I found the note at my door from the courier company which tried to deliver the card. I gave them the call and verified if I can collect the card from their office itself , to which they declined. They told me that their delivery guy would come around saturday before noon to deliver it .
I waited long on saturday for the courier guy who never came , I went to their office and they very gladly delivered the card there. I spent around 2000 bucks from the card that week .
The very next week I found myself in a very humilating situation when I tried getting some stuff using teh card . When the sales person tried swapping the card the machine gave some error and the very next moment , before I knew he cut the card in two. He asked me to get in touch with the bank for the same.
I called up the bank , very first time the lady who received my call very politely told me that the courier company has reported that my card has not been delivered and hence they have blocked my card. I was really pissed listening to this ...i asked if your call was not supposed to call me first to verify teh same , or if it was soo urgent to block it was it not necessary to inform me about same?
I requested her to get the manager or some senior person on the line but she very very politely put me on hold ...i waited ..waited ...waited and waited to in a hope that someone would actually take my call and would listen to my complaint . To my utter dissapointment no one ever cared to take my call even when I waited for them for almost an hour n 20 minutes.
I called up the bank again n this time in the little firm voice I asked for getting the manager on the line ...this time my request was answered. I spoke to her for about 30 minutes , informed her how I had to suffer because of some records mismatch at the banks end. I was assured that I will get the card within 15 days .
About one month later I got my credit card bill , the bill for the card which I was still awaiting for. I called up the bank again and to surprise i was told that as per the records i have been delivered the card some 10 days back. I was SHOCKED to know that . Luckily for me the card had not been used and I got teh second one blocked that very moment.
Its june coming to an end now , and here I am still awaiting for the card or the bill of the amount I had spent earlier . I fear some day I would get a huge bill which I would have to pay for no good reason ..
I really dont reccoment this bank to any one ...for by far they are the most ’ unresponsible’ people I have came acroos with.
