I deal with icici bank regularly for my demat acc. Though the service is good, yesterday was a funny experience. I wanted a statement printed out, the girl at the counter (outsourced staff I presume) said that will be Rs. 20. I was mildly shocked (nothing icici does shocks). This was contrarty to my experience at hdfc bank..a few minutes earlier. I told the girl, I will not go and stand ina counter..etc. She said, pay it here (surprise, surprise!) I got a lousy, light prnt out which I could not read. More importantly I do not know how icici allows an employee to collect cash - NO RECEIPT, why not debited to my account? who gets the money and how is it accounted? and why 20 for a statement? LAST week I got a letter sending me a gold card....becoz I had Qly balance of 100, 000!! Funny are the ways of I charge I charge icharge bnk!!
