Disappointing Customer Service at ICICI Bank Ajmer

I would like to draw your attention towards the issues I am facing at the Ajmer Branch of ICICI bank which have been causing me a lot of grief.


• I opened a salary account (# 018501508746) with ICICI Bank in Nov-2003 at Ajmer branch. My salary was getting credited to this account till Feb-2008. At that point, I was transferred out of Ajmer and I was advised to convert my account to Savings account as the salary was not getting credited in the account.


• I moved back to Ajmer in Aug-2012 and contacted the local branch to get the account converted to salary account again. I was asked for required documents which were furnished to the bank (Acknowledgement provided on 14-Aug-2012).


• I was then informed that my salary slip had short name (R K Garg) instead of full name (Raj Kumar Garg). I then provided the salary slip of the month of Sep-2012 which had full name printed on it. I was assured by the representative and the then Manager that the account now would be converted to salary account.


• I enquired about the same at the bank today (26-Oct-2012) and the counter clerk informed me that the account has not been converted to salary account and I need to furnish the documents again. I contacted the Branch Deputy Manager (Mr. Ashish Patni) and he found from the system that my documents were sent by courier on 26-Sep-2012 from the branch to the concerned department. But till date no response has been received.


• My salary for the past 3 months has been credited to this account.


• All the above process has been time consuming and troublesome. ICICI bank boasts of its customer service but my experience has been utterly disappointing. The branch staff is only concerned about selling the products and don’t care about customer service experience. They seem very confused about the processes associated with the services.


It is really disappointing to see that the bank has no regard for its customers. I had opened this account with the bank when it was quite new in this place and now they don’t even bother to solve the issue.
