Phone Banking Gives You Wrong Information and Norm

I have a travel card from ICICI Bank and when I tried calling the bank to know the transaction details the person on the phone asked me to call after 7:00am IST and when I called them back again the other person says that they operate only 4:30 pm to 7:00, am IST. When I asked her that the other person answering the phone told me that your travel card customer care works only after 7:00 am IST then I got a reply that wrong information have been passed. Then when I asked her how come wrong information is getting passed to the customers from the phone banking officer and can you track the call which I have made from the same number a couple of hours back.


The reply was that she can’t trace the call or do anything about it whenever you get massage before the call that this call may be recorded for I internal quality assurance and training purpose. Then the next reply comes that they normally work 24/7 but they do not have anyone working currently. So guys please think before taking this bank travel card as you may be left stranded abroad with no help and a very arrogant and adamant phone banking officer when you do not have family or friends around d you to help. I would recommend that please do not take their travel cards and try going with other banks who have branches and services abroad. This bank is a big no no for NRI banking.
