My friend received a crushed out 500 Rs note which was totally torn. The moment he received he had no choice of returning it. He just informed the guard to make a note of it, which was of no use. When I saw the note all my trust on the icici lost. I dialed to customer care which is hectic as option to speak to a person comes at the last/ He told me to visit nearest branch for exchange. Went to icici sarjapur branch which is near to my place.
The teller at counter after listening to me asked the 1st ques:
-How would i trust you and this case is 1 in million? And i was like what the hell?.
-When there is no one to look into the note when received and what else i could have done?
I had to argue a lot. Even then he was blabbering he will exchange the value on his own risk. He asked me to submit a letter & ATM slip and finally exchanged.
God save me next time from such an exp.
