I had very bad experience with ICICI, here is my story with the bank
I have salary account with ICICI which is operational from 2003, in 2004 They have sent me a credit card which I didn’t applied for, in the card my name was misspelled and as soon I have seen it I have just returned it and I have confirmed the same with their customer care and they have confirmed it that the card has been reached by mistake and the card has been deactivated.
Well, after 3 months there was an auto debit started every month from my account to this card and the amount was less then Rs. 250 every month, as I was not so much organized guy, I didn’t notice this auto debit for a long time.
Finally I have noticed this entire debits from my account last July and I contacted ICICI Customer service, they have registered a complaint and from last 4 months there is no resolution available, I have checked it from all my previous statements that around Rs. 7, 000 totally deducted from my account, I am not sure what to do with this useless customer care.
I agree I was careless in handling my account but I am not sure how come a Bank like ICICI can make this happen to a customer?
I am not sure do they have any process to return the amount but I am just going to close down all my relationships with this bank.
Any one can tell me is there any legal body I can complain this matter? and sue the bank for malpractice.
