I have been using these services for close to a year now and so far the experience has been quite good overall.
I was able to open a Savings account with the Bank by filling a form online and within a couple of days their representative (a college kid doing this as a summer job) was over to my place to take the necessary photographs and signatures that were required. Within a couple of weeks I received my cheque book and ATM card, though the Infinity Online account which is the internet banking option took nearly another month to come through.
I find banking with ICICI Bank very convenient, thanks to their net banking and ATM facilities till today I have never had to visit the bank personally for anything and have even transferred funds from the saving account to an FD account online as well as purchased items on websites using their payment gateway.
I decided to go in for their online trading option since at the time they were among the first to come out with this option as well as the fact that they were by far cheaper than normal brokers. This time around again the procedure of opening the account was fairly simple and they were able to link my existing bank account and demat accounts to their online trading site. The only drawback being that they still only offer trading on NSE and have yet to start trading on the BSE.
Given the extent of the integrated services offered by ICICI and the convenience of using them I definitely would recommend this to a friend as a viable banking/trading/online bill payments/all round financial institution.
