I have started studying again after working for a decade. So I stopped using my ICICI and SBI Credit cards. Now I wanted them both activated, I called ICICI before SBI. The request was simple, "send me a renewed credit card at my new address". Well, the call went on for more than 2 hours. Twice it got cut off from their end, needless to say that I had to repeat my story about five times. Well, I got the call escalated twice and they still could not explain to me, what security reasons were such that they could not adhere to my request!! Well, end of it no, they are not going to send me the card at the new address, but they have taken a request for address change.
Well, I called up SBI and I was expecting worse treatment. AND LO!! the call centre executive verified by details and gave me a date on which I will receive my renewed card at my new address. SIMPLE. IT did not take more than 4 minutes. I m still shocked.
Efficiency, speed, customer orientation etc..on all counts SBI ROCKS and ICICI SHOCKS.
