After writing my BAD experience with credit card, I thought I will do it for ICICI credit card which I hold now.
I took a life time free-card. However in the first month, I did not get a statement.
By this time, I got my web access locked due to in-correct login tries and there was no way to know the due date for payments. I even misplaced some of their letters.
Now, I called the credit card and checkd and found that due date was just over before two days.
I told I did not a statement, so could not know the due date. They agreed to reverse the late-payment charge in the next month after I make payment.
I paid the amount, but found late payment charge in subsequent month. I contacted them they asked to pay the full dues and they will reverse it next month. I took a stand that I will pay exact dues and paid them in time.
2nd month, I got proper bill.
Positive points:
The call centre was reachable.
They were willing to give respomse time to do each items
a. in 3 days they promised a duplicate statement and I got it
b. in 1 week they told they will mail web access password again and they could do it
c. Email statement for the on-going month they failed to send. But, did that properly in subsequent months.
d. They give photo ID cards (manhatten card from stan charted dont have this)
