I joined as Icici bank as an student, so I got student account with minimum balance of Rs500.It took for me around 3 weeks to get the account to be opened (far better than other banks who reject saying some doc missing).and I did see that I have minimum amount of balance for every Quarter so I didnt get any fine charges.
Then I joined a software company which has salary account with Icici bank so my salary is credited into my Student account, when ever I ask the Icici bank people to change from Student account to Salary account they say that it is big process and asks me to open a seperate account if I want.
i also opened RD’s which automatically gets debit from my students account.
I also got a Gold Hp Icici Credit Card which eventually told that it is free for one year and then they converted into Life time free card.I also got an add-on card for my father which is also free as per their promise.I totally utilised the 5% cash back offers and got the money back as Icici promised.I also faced problems sometimes like the transaction which is done by me is charged thrice and this problem is solved by just calling the call center and then sending a Fax which contains my compliant.I need to check how can I utilise my Reward points as I dont find some valuble gifts for points.
You know that all these process of opening accounts, getting credit card became easy as I had an Icici Bank account that also a Student account
i got problem opening an Icicidirect account which is related to shares etc.and the reason they said that it is not possible is that I have a student account.
I like Icici bcoz of
1)cashbacks
2)Friendly Service
3)Wide range of ATM’s
4)New policy’s(House delivery etc)
5)website is good and easy to use
and
I hate Icici bcoz
1)Long Queues in Bank in weekends
2)Time taken to reach a call center exceutive is toooo long some times I hate to call the callcenter.
3)When ever I stand near ATM , Icici bank executives come with one policy or the other which costs my pocket.
4)icici people often disturb me in my office timings.
