ICICI home loans - read this before applying and avoid blackmailing. I applied for home loan in November 2011. The agent told me that I can apply for a loan and thereafter it is my choice on whether to take the loan.
I was also told that processing fees is Rs 11030 and I will not be charged processing fees without my consent. In January 2012 I applied for HDFC who were offering a lower interest rate. I was told by hdfc officials that I had taken a loan from ICICI.
When I checked with I ICICI, I found a processing fees for 38, 000 had already been charged and they refused to close the loan unless I paid 38, 000. HDFC cannot issue me a loan until the icici loan is cancelled.
