Do you want to know the details of the transactions. Well let me tell you from scracth what happened.
Day 1 - 26th May 2005 Time 12 30 PM USA Thursday
I wire transferred $1271 for a company I started and the money was suppose to reach in india by end of 3-4 days. It was Thursday. Everything went smoothly.
Day 2- 27th May 2005 Friday.
At 8am I checked my bank balance and its been debited from my US account $1271 and its confirmed that the money is been delivered to ICICI bank account in Bombay.
After 2 hrs I called customer service number 1 -866 ICICI4U(I don’t think so), My full name, email address and Phone no is been asked and on providing the details the real drams started. They transferred em to remittance department and they said that the money is already with ICICI and within 24 hrs Money will be credited to your account.I told him its Saturday tomorrow.On that, he said, by 24 hrs I mean, working day 24 hrs.
Day 5 - 30th May 2005 Monday Morning 1 AM USA Time. IST 10 30am.
I checked my ICICI bank account, nothing there. The money is still not credited. I called again the same number and again the same thing, name, email address and phone number and on asking them about the money same answer. On talking to them ina strict tone, they decide to create a help ticket number which was SR1004400255 and then I am been told, we are sending this to NRI departmetn in Mumbai and they will revert back to you in 24 hrs. On telling them its such an urgent issue they given me the mumbai branch number. I called them in the middle of the night and the conversation last for like more than 30 minutes. The person I spoken to was the manager called Usha.She given me all kind of hopes and promises and even took my number that she will resolve the issue within few hours and will call me if required.SHE GIVEN ME A NEW SR HELP NUMBER.
Day 6 - 31st May 2005 Tuesday
I called bank of New York and from there I came to know I have given a wrong transaction ID and then I called ICICI bank again. Same crap again, your name, email address and the phone number. Finally I told them this drama is going on from last 5 days and I need to know what exactly happened with the money. I told them the correct transaction ID but the guy said you need to wait for the answer from ICICI mumbai Branch and if you can send them a mail they will surely reply you faster. So finally I send them a mail stating whatever I had been asked to do.

Day 7 -1st June 2005 Wednesday
Finally I got a mail from them on June 1 st and this is after calling the customer service again. THIS WAS THE 6TH DAY SINCE I SENT THE MONEY TO THESE GUYS.

I replied to them instantly.
I didn’t heard from them again the whole day. No mails nothing. I called them so many times but again of no use.i decided to wait and watch what will happen.
Day 8 -2st June 2005 Thursday
No mails nothing from this guys. I called them again, WHAT THE F GOING ON WITH THE MONEY. NO REPLY. They said you got to wait since the NRI branch is working on it. I asked can I talk to them or can you transfer the phone. Well, the asnwer is, WE DON’T KNOW THEIR NUMBER.
Day 9 - 3rd June Friday - Which is today
Finally today, in the morning I got the money.
You boast to the whole world HOW RELIABLE YOU ARE, FAST-SERVICE, SECURITY ENABLED AND ALL KIND OF CRAP BUT WHERE IS THE QUALITY OF SERVICE HERE. What about the peace I have lost in these 9 days. What about the person who was supposed to get this money on the 1 st day but waited for like 9 days for the same. What you guys can do about it??Do you have answer??
Mr. Mittal please be ready to check this website https://icicibanksucks.com because this time I am not going to leave you guys. Its like a big shame on your gusy for the way you treat your customers. Had anyone of your staff was infront of me, things would have been different but NRI gusy become so helpless that they don’t jknow what to do. Your csutomer service department don’t have the number of your own NRI mumbai branch forget how NIs going to contact them. If aoverall you ask me to refer about this ICICI ranch to someone else, I would like to tell them OPEN THE ACCOUNT IN THE WORST BANK IN THE WORLD, IT STILL WILL BE MUCH BETTER THAN ICICI BANK.A BIG SHAME ON YOU GUYS.
