My advice - PLEASE AVOID ONLINE
TRANSACTION WITH ICICI LOMBARD. They
cant track your payment. You will be surprised
later on that the policy document you carry is
invalid. They dont accept the cover-note, mail
confirmation or payment proof to defend your
argument!
Im an ICICI lombard customer since 4 years,
as usual I renewed my car policy online on 22may, 17 using the link "icicilombard.com", and
received the cover note(W-59267928) both by
SMS and email. My policy expires on 22may.
As policy document was not generated even
after 3 days, I approached Lombard customer
care and raised a ticket 22062017344 on 22may, 17. They said they will check to find why
the policy was not generated. I did a follow-up
call on 1june, 17 and surprised to know that
they couldnt find my cover-note and payment
information in their system! My bank
transaction(ICICI debit card) shows "ICICI
Lombard" as merchant. I renewed the policy
by loging into the website "icicilombard.com" .
Lombards IT team is very pathetic, they dont
know how to handle this situation. They cant
track the payment. How a cover-note can be
generated without valid payment! I forwarded
the mail I received from Lombard containing
the cover-note to lombard customer care, for
which they are not responding. I asked them
whether I need to take another policy, they
dont have any answer. If cover-note is not
valid, that means policy is not effective.
Lombard is not giving me any suggestion. Im
feared to take my car out. I lodged a dispute
with my banker for the transaction in question.
Please be avoid online transaction with ICIC Lombard.
